京都のモダン建築である京都市市庁舎前広場を舞台に、音楽と食文化を中心に人々が集い交流する文化イベントを開催する。京都観光局「新規観光コンテンツ造成支援事業」に採択された本プロジェクトは、DJやアーティストの公演に加え、酒造やクラフトビール、ワインインポーターなど多彩な出店が広場を彩り、来場者は音楽と食を通じて豊かな時間を楽しむことができる。公共施設である市庁舎の理念を背景に、入場無料の開かれた空間として運営され、まちの中心に人が集まり、表現が交わることで新しい京都のカルチャーが芽吹き、ローカルの魅力が広く発信されていく。昼の賑わいは夜の「CLUB METRO」へと引き継がれ、深夜まで熱気が続く一日となり、やがて持続可能な文化事業へと発展していく。

Experience Kyoto’s modern architecture at City Hall Square, where music and gastronomy bring people together in a vibrant cultural event. Part of the Kyoto City Tourism Association’s “New Tourism Content Development Project,” the program showcases local DJs and artists alongside breweries, craft beer makers, and wine importers. With the spirit of City Hall as an open public space, admission is free, inviting everyone to share ideas and enjoy new expressions of Kyoto culture. The day’s energy flows from the lively square into the night at the legendary club CLUB METRO, celebrating Kyoto’s creativity late into the night and building a sustainable cultural scene for the future.

今年から新たに始まった京都市市庁舎前広場を舞台に、音楽と食文化を中心に多様な人々が交流する文化イベントSUNSET SUNDAY。日中の賑わいを引き継ぎ、夜は京都を代表する老舗クラブ「CLUB METRO」でアフターパーティを開催。世代を超えて国内外で活躍するDJやアーティストが集結し、深夜まで音楽と交流を楽しめる特別な一夜となる。昼から夜、そして深夜まで、京都のカルチャーを心ゆくまで体感できる一日を締めくくる。

This year, SUNSET SUNDAY begins at Kyoto City Hall Square with music and food bringing people together. As the sun sets, the celebration moves to Kyoto’s legendary CLUB METRO for the After Party. DJs from different generations, active both in Japan and overseas, come together for a night of music and connection that lasts until late. From afternoon to night and into the early morning, it’s a full day to experience the energy and culture of Kyoto.
